Program participants are invited to take part in a group art piece creation that will be displayed in the main entrance of the library.
Immerse yourself in a world of color and texture. Explore the entire spectrum as you embark on a journey of artistic discovery. This transformative class introduces you to the innovative art form of textured art. Not only visually captivating, this tactile masterpiece has proven therapeutic benefits for people of all ages, including veterans, the elderly, and children. Experience the joy of creation as you master this unique technique, resulting in timeless, touchable art.
This program allows its participants to engage using their imagination with peers. The program will teach various painting methods, color coordination, functional art project restoration and project completion. Participants will work collectively on a project piece that will be displayed in the library for the duration of the Vision and Sound exhibit. Participants will keep an art necklace and an apron. All participants can take part in an ice cream social during the program. This program is open to youth, however we do ask that children under 16 years old be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The program is free and registration is required. Registration opens on February 13 at 9:00 am.
